The Puzzle Master

Eli loves to do puzzles. I love it too because it is stimulating that little brain of his! Really, he loves anything to do with learning. His current favorite movie is "101 Dalmations". He'll be in the middle of watching it, and I'll hear him repeating a new word he hears during the movie. He is truly a sponge! He also loves to play the "Memory" game. I LOVE to teach him new things and see the excitement in his eyes when he accomplishes something new. I don't think this feeling will ever go away...I can't wait to see all the things he learns to do throughout his life! Not only does he love to learn, but also teach. He's already showing Hadley how to do things. He amazes me with how gently he plays. I've had to get on to him a little bit lately because he's gotten a little careless around her, but all it takes is sitting down and explaining to him why he needs to be more careful. Once I show him an alternative to getting toy from her (versus grabbing it) for example, he changes his behavior and keeps on playing. Just like that. All it takes is explaining it to him, rather than just saying "Don't do that". He is SOOOO good. And, little Hadley is learning new things too! She mastered sitting up a while back, but isn't showing much of an interest in crawling. It looks like she'll follow in Eli's footsteps (he didn't crawl until 10 months), but I am perfectly ok with that! Hadley has also started babbling, and it's so cute to hear her voice. She still thinks Eli is the funniest person in the whole world and I love to hear her laugh, which in turn triggers Eli's laugh, and then I start smiling!
