Panic

I had a scare today...funny now to look back on it, but my heart was racing! I picked the kids up from school and we followed our normal routine. I put Hadley in her car seat, then Eli and I walked around to the other side and I began to buckle him up as well. I noticed that somehow Hadley was holding my keys and I said to Eli, "Oh - it's a good thing that she didn't push the button and lock the doors when we were walking around the car!". We laughed about it, and since I knew it would be difficult getting Hadley to hand over the keys, I decided to get in my seat in order to better reach her. I shut Eli's door and immediately started to open my door (literally - a split second later)...when I hear..."CLICK". My immediate thought is, "Oh no. What I just joked about has now happened". I pulled on the door handle and yes, the car was totally locked. Through the window I tried to direct Eli to his lock, then I asked him to have Hadley give him the keys...although they can't quite reach each other when they're all strapped in. Hadley was just laughing away, as if she knew what she had just done! Then all of a sudden..."CLICK"...I quickly grab the handle and the doors were unlocked!!!!! Praise the Lord! Thank you God. I know we could have handled the situation alright, but I'm glad I didn't have to go down that road! It was one of those ironic situations...funny now!! I thought all of you would get a kick out of that story. I can just see what kind of messes Hadley will get us into in the future!

Ahhh! Oh my goodness! I'm so glad the situation ended as it did :) I'm glad she didn't set off the alarm button...hehe.

I love your new background and the pictures from your Christmas with the cousins. It seems like y'all had a blast. I can't wait to see you all...I really mean it!

Let me know if you need a babysitter any time over the holidays! I'm off until January 5th. Love you!

Yes, looking back, that is hilarious. I have that fear everytime I shut the backdoor. I just know it will happen to me one day. That's one of the main reasons I have OnStar. Ha ha.
