Tonight after the kids were in bed, Kasey shared a quick story about his & Eli's earlier conversation. Kasey took Eli to the "Movie Store" to pick out a DVD since he was on his best behavior today. On the way there, Eli was talking to himself and the following conversation developed:
Kasey: "Are you talking to yourself?"
Eli: "Yes"
Kasey: "Do you ever talk to Jesus?"
Eli: "Yes, at night"
Kasey: "What do you talk about?
Eli: "He keeps me safe"
Kasey: "Safe from what?
Eli: "Well, sometimes my lamp makes scary pictures, and Jesus tells me not to be afraid."
Eli has never mentioned to Kasey or I that his nightlight makes shadows...so since we've never talked to him about it, we know that he was talking to Jesus. Praise God for an intimate, personal relationship developing between Eli and our Lord.

i pray everyday that cade will have an amazing relationship with our Lord. it would make me the proudest mom ever. i know many pray for their kid to be good at a sport or popular at school, but ALL i want is cade to love and know Jesus.
