This little piggy...

...called "The Swine Flu" came to visit our house. So...going back a few months ago, I was one of those people who raided the local Wal-Mart, HEB, Walgreens, and Target in search of Hand Sanitizer when the swine flu breakout started. I am the first to admit that I tend to overreact sometimes...but my sole reason was because of my dear sweet Hadley's lungs. I know that it is absolutely wrong to live in fear. God is inconceivably bigger than that little virus! And I believe in His almighty power, love, and protection over my family. It's just hard for me to let go at times (I'm sure you moms out there understand). I continue to seek the Lord's peace and place 100% faith in HIM! So, last Thursday I got a call from Hadley's school that she was running 101 fever. I picked her up, came home, and although she was suffering fever, after a little Tylenol she was racing around the house giggling and playing. Friday morning, however, she slept...and slept...and slept...and she was starting to cough. So, Kasey took her in to see the doc (I was at work), and she tested positive for Influenza A. Since the only flu on a rampage around here is H1N1 (swine), our pediatrician is confident that's what it was, even though Influenza A includes seasonal flus. She started Hadley on Tamiflu and also Eli on it preventatively. We were all on house arrest this weekend, and Hadley's fever came to a close on Saturday morning. She also lost her voice...it became so soft and raspy it was cute! Hadley progressed better than I could have ever imagined. All glory be to our Father for keeping her safe and well. Get ready for this...she did not need even ONE breathing treatment! Not one! Amazing! I am so happy that her breathing issues seem to be resolving. Perhaps it was the undiagnosed reflux that was the culprit all along. Kasey and I have tag-teamed keeping her at home...I go to work in the morning, and in the afternoon I return and hand him the baton to go to work. And, thank you so much to my wonderful mother-in-law for coming down today to watch Hadley. Although we are pretty darn confident she is past the contagious phase, we are playing it safe and keeping her home until Thursday...out of concern for Hadley as well as the other families at the daycare. Tomorrow I'm off work, so I look forward to spending the day with her. I think she'll be a wee bit depressed to return to school on Thursday! She's gotten so much one-on-one attention lately! Eli, Kasey, and I continue to all be symptom-free. Yay! Here are a few pics from the past few days...

GOOD! I am so glad that Hadley's illness didn't get any worse. On Sunday night, our small group all held hands and lifted up prayers that were heavy on our hearts and we lifted up little Ms. Hadley. I hope all of you stay healthy now!

Love you and miss you!
