It's the little everyday conversations that I have with the kids that I hope to keep in my heart forever. Like tonight, I tucked Eli in and he said, "Mom, I really do love you all the time. Even when you're not with me, I love you". And, I could just sense his genuineness and sincerity. He really understood what that means, and the look in his eyes just made me melt. And Hadley...her new thing at bedtime is to (just as I'm shutting her door) say, "Mommy, I need to tell you something". So I go to her crib and lean over and she says, "I love you". Then I leave again and she says, "Mommy I need to tell you something". So I go back and she starts to sing "This little light of mine" with the sweetest little grin on her face. Or, she'll say, "I need a hug and a kiss". I try to live in these moments and treasure them because I know that someday they'll be gone and my little babies will be grown. Sometimes I'll get a little frustrated when Hadley calls me back to her crib for the 5th time...after all, I've got dishes, laundry, and cleaning up to do, right? ...But I stop and just think of how precious these moments are. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if all my chores are done and the house is immaculate. What matters is that I take advantage of every minute I have with my children and give them my all. I truly love the joy that these two little munchkins have brought into my life! Thank you God for blessing me with these beautiful creations. Here's a picture of them enjoying a super bubble filled bath!
