My little peanut

It's been a while since I've updated on Hadley...much has changed! She is transitioning into "toddlerhood" as we speak!

1) She is quite petite. :) At her 12 month check up she weighed a whopping 17 pounds, 5 ounces and was 27" tall. That ranks her in the 3rd-5th percentile! She has grown since then, but is still the tiniest among her friends! The doctor says she's just fine!

2) She is talking! Her first word was "uh-oh" around 11 months old. Now she says "Mama", "More" (and signs it), "Ball", and some others. As you can see, she's already grown a love for the cell phone! She also understands us so much more now - it's amazing! I look at Eli and his incredible vocabulary and I think "How did that just happen?". It boggles my mind how these children change so drastically from one year to the next!

3) Her hair is finally starting to tame! I can actually get little pigtails in it! Kasey said she looks like a Dr. Suess character! :)

4) She is walking! Pretty much 100% now. If she falls, she'll sometimes crawl, but she is determined to walk! She gets so proud of herself!

5) She is definitely a mama's girl, but absolutely, 100% adores Kasey. In the evening, if Ella starts to bark at the door or if I say "I think Daddy's home", she'll immediately drop what she's doing and race towards the door! She gives us the most squeeze-y hugs ever! Even when she was only a few months old, she would just *squeeze* her little arms around you so tight!

6) She LOVES music...especially when she's in charge. She loves to play with the CD player; she's a little DJ-wannabe.

7) She is for sure more mischievous than Eli was at this age! She likes to sneak around, climb, and of course play with the outlets. This picture is why there is a warning on the cords of blinds when you buy them!

8) She is just goofy! Any time I get out the camera, she flashes her most cheesy grin ever! It lasts for a couple of shots - I love it! She's quite the little ham.

She's so beautiful! I love how she's so petite. I wonder if the second is usually more mischevious than the first? If yes, I'll be in big trouble.
