Hadley had her 2 year well check exam yesterday. She looks great. Developmentally she's awesome, and physically things are good. Yes, she is still super tiny, but she is proportional and her rate of growth is totally normal. Her height and weight land in the "Less than 5%" category. She weighs 21.5 pounds, and is 31 inches tall. She's still sporting the 12-18 month size in clothes, but she is adorable in them! The doctor said that, at this point, she's not concerned about a hormonal problem...usually kids with these issues are disproportionate...they are short and heavy. So, we are just going to keep watching her and if her rate of growth slows, then go see a specialist. Our pediatrician said that she thinks she probably has a "Constitutional Growth Delay". It is nothing to worry about, it just means that she'll hit a big growth spurt later in life and catch up. and often times they are "late bloomers" due to a delay in when puberty hits. This would have her taking after her mama who was a "late bloomer", and had a HUGE growth spurt in high school! (Also, my dad was really short until high school and then he passed up all his brothers). I also talked to Kasey's mom and she said that as a child she was always mistaken for a couple years younger than she was. So...long story short, it just makes sense. I love my sweet, petite little baby and wouldn't change a thing about her! Hadley is still taking the Prevacid, and her breathing issues are in check. We pray that this continues as we move into cold & flu season. Enjoy these cute pics:
