First Camping Trip!

The kids went on their first camping trip! Kasey and I are leaders in our church's youth group, and the group camped out at our friends' land outside San Marcos. The have around 100 acres (I think?) and it is beautiful out there. We smoked some good meat, had smores, and worshiped God under the stars. It is a great group of kids that we are with and it was really fun! The guys camped down at the campsite, but the girls and the kids and I camped in a tent in the front yard. :) Had to be near the bathrooms, of course. We had a propane heater that helped a lot, but unfortunately ran out of juice at 4:00 am! The night was chilly...got into the 40's...but the kids and I made it through with about 3 layers of blankets. Eli slept great, Hadley another story. She and I pretty much slept a total of 1-2 hours the whole night! We could hear coyotes howling in the distance, which freaked me out a little, but we survived!! Overall, it was a success and we are blessed to have our friends invite us out to their home! Enjoy the pics:
