Halloween '09

So, we had a really fun Halloween this year. The kids had fun picking out their costumes and dressing up. :) Hadley wanted to be a "pink princess", and Eli debated between a pirate, Star Wars guy, or an army guy. We went with the army soldier and he loved it. The Thursday before Halloween our office always participates in the "Boo-da Halloween Festival" in downtown Buda. We handed out sugar-free (xylitol) lollipops and it was a lot of fun. The kids and I dressed up like teeth, and we had our Tooth Fairy and Cavity Bug! We also had our second annual Halloween Candy Buy Back. Any of the kids in the community could bring back their unopened, excess candy (most of the time mom and dad were going to throw it away anyway!), and we bought it back for $1 per pound, entered them in a drawing for a $100 Toys-R-Us gift card. Then we packed and sent away the candy and letters to an organization called Operation Gratitude, which forwards it all to the troops overseas. It was a great turnout!

Then, on Halloween night we went over to our friends' house from church and set up a "light-house". We had puppet shows, candy, hot chocolate and all kinds of fun stuff for the kids. It was fun but I about broke my back as a puppeteer! Fun though. :)

Here are all the kids at the lighthouse:

Eli and Hadley, ready to go! Aren't they cute?!

They love each other. :)

Here we are...one permanent tooth and two primary teeth. :)

It's a blurry picture, but you can see our Tooth Fairy and Cavity Bug along with us teeth!
